How Many Microfibre Cloths Does a Cleaning Team Need?

Running out of clean cloths halfway through a shift slows everything down. Here is a simple way to work out how many microfibre cloths your team needs.

Start with cloths per clean

Count how many cloths one person uses on a typical job, for each colour or area. A small office might need one cloth per area; a busy kitchen will need more.

Allow for washing

Cloths need to be washed and dried between uses. A practical rule is to keep at least three sets: one in use, one in the wash and one clean and ready.

A worked example

A cleaner uses 6 cloths a day: 2 blue, 2 yellow and 2 pink. With three sets, that cleaner needs 18 cloths. A team of 4 cleaners needs 72 cloths, which is three packs of 24.

Buying by the box
